
Detailed Maintenance Routine
When doing the yearly maintenance on the Oxipack SLT, always follow this maintenance routine and report the results in the format you can download with the button below. On your left you can see the steps in action and if you scroll down, the steps are written out and made into an interactive checklist you can download.
Maintenance routine steps
Important: ‘When working in the machine, power and air supply must be disconnected’
Step 1
Before unplugging the machine, run multiple tests on the machine, use the dummy tester if available.
Record these results on the provided recording sheet.
Step 2
Take pictures of any defects on the machine. Record these results on the information sheet provided.
Step 3
To remove the lid of the machine:
- Lift the lid of the machine to the open position.
- Unscrew the gas-spring bolts on each side.
Step 4
Once the gas-spring bolts have been disconnected, lower the lid of the machine and remove the hinges on the back side of the SLT.
Step 5
Once the gas-spring bolts and hinges have been safely removed, lift the lid of the machine and place it upside down on a clean surface.
Step 6
Tools required:
- 1 x Ratchet
- 1 x 4nm ratchet bit adapter
Once the lid has been removed from the machine, check that all screws on the top lid are tightend.
Step 7
Begin by cleaning the seal with an alcohol wipe by gently wiping the seal. During this process, inspect the seal for any visible damage or defects.
Step 8
If the seal is visibly damaged, follow the instructions to remove and replace the seal from the machine.
Step 9
Tools required:
- 1 x Alan key
Using the alan key, unscrew all the bolts highlighted in red. Place the bolts in a safe place for reassembly later.
Step 10
Disassemble the machine by lifting it out of the case and placing it at a 45 Degree angle on-top of the case as shown to ensure the cables do not get damaged.
Step 11
Look inside the machine for any defects, damages or leaks. Record any findings on the data sheet provided.
Step 12
Unscrew the pressure sensor connection and tap lightly on a clean surface.
Step 13
Disconnect the mac valves and replace with the new replacement valves for use on the test equipment.
Step 14
Connect the new mac valve and sensor to the test equipment.
Step 15
Once the test sensor is connected, plug the machine in and turn on the power. Run a system test as shown.
Step 16
Insure the machine in unpluged. Connect the new mac valves to the machine as shown.
Step 17
To reassemble the machine, place it back into its case as shown. Screw in the top screws until firmly tightend.
Step 18
Reinstall the lid.
Step 19
Dummy preparation. Tools required:
- Dummy
- Dummy insert removal tool
- Alan key
Replace the dummy insert with a replacement using the tool provided.
Step 20
Power on the machine and preform:
- 3 x Empty tests
- 3 x Tests with a package
- 3 x Tests with a dummy (if available)
Use 1 minute intervals between test.
