
Detailed Maintenance Routine
When doing the yearly maintenance on the Oxipack SLT, always follow this maintenance routine and report the results in the format you can download with the button below. On your left you can see the steps in action and if you scroll down, the steps are written out and made into an interactive checklist you can download.
Maintenance routine steps
Important: ‘When working in the machine, power and air supply must be disconnected’
Step 1
Before unplugging the machine, run multiple tests. Use the dummy tester if available. Record these results on the provided datasheet.
Once the results are recorded, switch off the power at the wall socket, then unplug both the power cord and air supply from the back of the machine.
Step 2
Take photographs of any defects on the machine. Record your observations on the provided information sheet.
Step 3
To remove the machine lid:
- Lift the lid of the machine to the open position.
- Unscrew the gas-spring bolts on each side.
Step 4
Once the gas spring bolts are disconnected, lower the machine lid and remove the hinges from the back of the SLT.
Step 5
Once the gas spring bolts and hinges are safely removed, lift the machine lid and place it upside down on a clean surface.
Step 6
Tools required:
- 1 x Ratchet
- 1 x 4nm ratchet bit adapter
With the lid removed from the machine, verify that all screws on the top lid are fully tightened.
Step 7
Gently wipe the seal using an alcohol wipe to clean it. During this process, inspect the seal for any visible damage or defects.
Step 8
If the seal is visibly damaged, follow the dedicated instructions to remove and replace it.
- To remove the seal, lift the lip of one corner of the seal and pull it out.
- To replace and fit the new seal, gently press in one corner, then work around corner-by-corner until it is seated properly. Ensure the lip of the seal is facing outward!
Step 9
Tools required:
- 1 x Allen Key (or Allen Key Screwdriver Adapter)
Using the Allen key, unscrew all bolts highlighted in red. Store the bolts in a safe location for reassembly.
Step 10
Disassemble the machine by lifting it out of the case and positioning it at a 45-degree angle on top of the case (as shown) to prevent cable damage.
Step 11
Inspect the interior of the machine for any defects, damage, or leaks. Record all findings on the provided datasheet.
Step 12
Unscrew the pressure sensor connection and tap it lightly against a clean surface.
Step 13
Disconnect the mac valves as indicated. Replace them with the new valves designated for use with the test equipment.
Step 14
Connect the new mac valve and sensor to the test equipment.
Step 15
Once the test sensor is connected, plug in the machine and switch on the power. Run a system test as indicated.
Ensure the test equipment is set up as shown before turning on the machine.
If the results are OK, unplug the machine and connect the new mac valves.
Step 16
Ensure the machine is unplugged. Connect the new mac valves to the machine as shown.
Step 17
To reassemble the machine, place it back into its case as shown. Screw in the top screws until they are firmly tightened.
Step 18
Once the top screws are firmly tightened, lift the lid back into place on the machine. Reinstall the hinge locks and the gas spring bolts as shown.
Step 19
Dummy preparation. Tools required:
- Dummy
- Dummy insert removal tool
- Allen key
Replace the dummy insert with a new replacement using the provided removal tool.
Step 20
Power on the machine and perform the following sequence:
- 3 x Empty tests
- 3 x Tests with a package
- 3 x Tests with a dummy (if available)
Use 1-minute intervals between test.
