Full job description

Who are we?
Oxipack is an innovative, international SME making a significant impact. Our measurement equipment helps clients in the food and pharmaceutical industries worldwide prevent waste. We’re growing, improving, and committed to working together in a way that suits us: professional yet human.

Technology is in your blood. But you want to do more than just design. You want to see your ideas actually built, tested, and used worldwide. Whether you are just starting out or already have a few years of experience, at Oxipack you will have the opportunity to learn, improve and make an impact.

Job Details

CANDIDATES MUST BE BASED IN THE NETHERLANDS AND HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO WORK HERE.

What will you be doing?

As a Junior/ Medior R&D Engineer, you will work on both product improvements and the development of new leak detection systems. You will be involved in the entire process: from idea and prototype to implementation in production and at the customer's site. You will work closely with colleagues from R&D, production, and service.

Everyone in this role will:

  • Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems
  • Develop ideas into technical designs and specifications
  • Build, test, and improve prototypes
  • Solve technical issues in existing products
  • Collaborate with production to make designs manufacturable and scalable
  • Occasionally visit international customers (approx. 20–30% of your time)

Are you a starter/ junior?

Then you will mainly learn the trade on the job. You will participate in projects, be supervised by experienced colleagues, and graduallybe given more responsibility.

Do you already have some experience (medior)?

Then you will take on parts of projects independently, actively contribute ideas for improvements and new solutions, and be a substantive sparring partner within the team.

What do you bring?

You are the kind of person who thinks: “If I see something that can be improved, I'll take care of it”. You enjoy creating structure and switch easily between numbers and people.

You feel at home in a down-to-earth environment where we tell it like it is. You have a good command of the Dutch Language, but also know that our internal communication is mainly in English.

For this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • A completed higher education (HBO) or university degree (WO) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or something similar.
  • 0 - 5 years of relevant work experience (starters are welcome)
  • Experience with or interest in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)
  • An affinity with technology, production, and product development
  • A good command of both Dutch and English

Are you a starter/ junior?

Then you don't have to know everything yet. We think it's more important that you are eager to learn and show initiative.

More experienced (mid-level)?

Then you already have practical experience in R&D or mechanical engineering and can independently tackle technical issues.

What do we offer?

You are joining us at a time when we are professionalising and growing. This means short lines of communication, a lot of influence, and no unnecessary layers.

  • A meaningful R&D role with real technical impact
  • Competitive salary (€ 4.500 - € 6.000 per month) under the Metal & Technology CLA, including pension (PMT)
  • 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days (based on full-time employment)
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working is negotiable
  • Travel allowance
  • An informal work culture with colleagues who work hard and laugh harder
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop

But above all, you’ll be in a role where your work truly matters, at a company that is both technically innovative and genuinely people-focused.
